The Professional High School of Electrical Engineering and Electronics "K Fotinov", "Prof Dr Assen Zlatarov" University and the ICT Cluster in Burgas combine efforts for the training of IT specialists.

At a working meeting today in the Ministry of Education and Science was discussed the start of the training of application programmers in the framework of the program "Training for IT Career" in the autumn of 2017. Strong Burgas presence was marked at the meeting, with the active participation of the municipal councilor Petko Georgiev, who is also a chairman of ICT Cluster - Burgas, his colleague Stoyan Nikolov from ICT Cluster - Burgas, Kosta Papazov from PGEE "K. Fotinov" and Prof. Sotir Sotirov from the University "Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov".

In an informal meeting after the event, the representatives of Burgas also discussed future initiatives in support of education in information and communication technologies with Svetlin Nakov, the founder and inspiration of the Sofwate University.

According to Petko Georgiev, Burgas's choice as one of the five training centers for applied programming in Bulgaria is an outstanding success for the work of Burgas Municipality, ICT Cluster - Burgas, as well as business and educational institutions in the city. "This is a step towards turning Burgas into one of the preferred places for ICT business in the country," added Georgiev.

About the program:
